Porcelain Cluster by Farrah Sit

Porcelain Cluster by Farrah Sit

Farrah Sit

Inspired by sea life, designer Farrah Sit’s very first light fixture for her eponymous brand merges memories from her beach vacations in Maine with organic structures. Hanging from twisted electrical wires covered in cloth, three porcelain bulbs are slip-cast, with their openings individually cut by hand. “The clusters resemble the bladderwrack pods connected to seaweed. They help the seaweed float toward the surface in order to grab sun,” explains Sit. “It’s an image that has stuck with me since childhood.”
