“Bell pots were some of the first ceramics ever made,” explains designer Eny Lee Parker, illustrating the inspiration behind her Ballard cocktail table’s shape, adding: “I love the look of the chubby feet.”

Six wheel-thrown clay bases, crafted to resemble ancient watering pots, support a tempered glass top that’s secured with a black silicone cord. Rather than glazing the ceramic feet, Parker rubs on beeswax for a satin sheen finish.

“I learned that I don’t have to glaze furniture unless it’s going to live outside,” explains Parker. “And with sculpture, there are no rules.”
